Your marketing should drive home this most important benefit as clearly and directly as possible. Customers want to know what’s in it for them. When you advertise the features of your product or service, connect those features to the benefits.
- Finally, remember to promote your business with the latest online marketing tactics and strategies. Articles are very effective method to get the word out.
The Internet is available to everyone. It’s the only big media that allows the small home business person to get their message out for free or at very low cost. Bulletin boards, forums and newsgroups may appreciate helpful information that you provide. Most won’t mind if you sign your name and link back to your website along with four to six lines about your business in your bio line.

I Wanted To Work From Home, But How To?
Everybody wants to work at home. One day, many years ago now I decided to look how to get a few extra bucks working online. I had never did it before but had read about a lot of people doing it, so I decided to give it a try.
Ok now what to try first. A friend pointed me in the direction of eBay. I signed up and sold everything in the house until my wife stopped me because we needed the table and chairs and the beds. Ebay is a great site and I made some good money until I ran out of things to sell.
Then I looked at drop shipping; WOW you could find anything in the world to drop ship. The only problem was I had no idea how much inventory they had for a certain item. I don’t think they did either. Don’t get me wrong drop shipping is a great thing if you can find the right one.
Oh look at this a free site fully stocked with everything on the planet. I know you’ve seen them and don’t they look pretty? That’s about it.
I was like everybody else with responsibilities and didn’t have a lot of money to invest?
I had heard of Clickbank, CJ Affiliate, and Google Adsense. People are making money with these sites, but how. CB and CJ are both great sites and have a lot to offer. Just pick a program and promote the heck out of it. Again promote equals money. Adsense, great I need a website, now what? Ok back to the search engines
All right I spent the money, my wife stopped talking to me, but this was something I thought would work.
I customized the page the way I needed it and started to promote. Since I spent the money I had to go the free route. I placed free ads everywhere I could and waited to see what happens. I must tell you it took a little while but I started to make some money, it wasn’t earth shattering but I made my investment back and a little more.
All I can tell you is go with what you feel and make it happen.

I Stood Out From The Crowd And Made Money!
Everyday more people move into the home based business field selling some sort of service or product. New websites are being built by various service companies. The problem here is that the same website is being built for hundreds of new home based businesses. One time I purchased one of these Free Website Offers and found myself lost in the crowd. The secret is to stand out from the crowd and you can only do this if you have something unique and your strategy is a selling point that nobody else does.
Being independent all my life, I decided to design my own website and stand out from the crowd. To this end I found an online platform that allowed me to create a website for free, in fact I got two and they hosted them on the internet at no charge as well.
In searching for products to put on my website I noticed that I was learning more about the product before placing it on my website. I started to examine each product more carefully to ensure that it met the criteria I developed for my site. You see I realized that the site was now my creation, and represented me. The products would also have to represent me, who I am, and not be full of gimmicks or hype.
The products also have to be things that people were buying and not just what I thought they wanted to purchase. So I asked myself the same set of questions about each product before I put them on my site.
For instance: “Who wants this product?”; “How many of this product is being purchased?”; “Why would they buy it online?’; “What would be the return on my investment?”; “Where should I place it on my site?”; “When do I decide to replace it for something better?”.
After putting the site together I decided to put my shoes on backwards and look at the site through the eyes of the potential buyer…and What a difference some thought makes. What I saw in my new site made me very proud.
Now I had something that was unique, separated me from the pack, represented quality and value, and was me. It was a business that I could count on, and represent to others who were serious about shopping from home and/or working from home. It was also a great feeling of accomplishment and a lot of fun since I had never designed a website before in my whole life.
How To Promote A Your Website
Now although the website is in my marketing program, it is not the complete marketing program. I still need to promote the products and business. I found a great way of attracting potential customers to my site is by writing articles. Through these articles I am able to establish my business knowledge and publish these articles on the internet on my website and also blog information sites. People looking for information on home businesses will end up reading them and then visit my site.
Depending on your promotion methods you can actually make a lot of money or no money at all. However since most people visiting the internet were looking for information, I offered my visitors a free e-book about the science of the internet, and a free newsletter with over a hundred marketing tips for a home based business. This ensured that at least they stayed on my site and the chances were good that they would pass on the details of my website to their family and friends. There are a lot of sales made online because of word of mouth recommendations.
Keeping my competition constantly in my sight is also critical so that I can take advantage of any opportunity to gain an edge and stand out from the crowd.
